HVI 920 Product Performance Certification Procedure Including Verification and Challenge The product certification procedure assures quality control and an effective rating program enabling manufacturers to market products, which will perform at or above specific standards. This publication defines and specifies certain aspects of the procedures, covering such points as the actual testing, the certification process, challenge procedures and use of HVI trademark and labels. A reference chart lists product categories, required tests, rating points, minimum capacity levels for verification, and other information. The verification procedure assures and demonstrates the validity of the HVI verification program. The publication contains information on the frequency and number of tests, selection procedures, corrective action, resolution of the products that fail, and costs.
HVI 921 Performance Verification Procedure for Products Not Certified by HVI The performance verification procedure for products not certified by HVI provides an independent, impartial and audited method to evaluate the performance of non certified products to protect the safety and interests of the general public, designers, builders, consumers, codes officials, HVI members and HVI non-members manufacturers. The procedure is based on internationally recognized test standards and procedures and all testing is performed in independent laboratories to assure impartiality, consistent with the HVI Certified Ratings Program.
