Mr. Russell Pope – Chairman of the Board
Mr. Pope is the Development Manager for Panasonic Life Solutions, North America. Russell is an active participant in ASHRAE 62.2, ENERGY STAR, Department of Energy Programs, an Codes and Standards development. Russell received the Future of HVI Award in 2014. He serves as Vice Chair of the Certification Committee and Chair of the HVI Personnel Committee.
Mr. Terry Siegel – Vice Chair/Treasurer
Mr. Siegel is CEO of Ventamatic, Ltd. located in Mineral Wells, Texas. Ventamatic manufactures a full line of portable ventilation options as well as a range of other residential, commercial and agricultural ventilation products. He serves as Chair of the HVI Finance Committee.
Mr. Patrick Nielsen – Secretary
Mr. Nielsen is Global Technical Products Manager at Broan in Hartford, Wisconsin. Broan primarily manufactures residential ventilation products including ventilation fans, range hoods and H/ERVs. His responsibilities include codes and standards as well as identifying future product development opportunities. He serves as Chair of the HVI Codes & Standards Committee.
Mr. Ola Wettergren – Immediate Past Chair
Mr. Wettergren is employed by the Systemair Group. Systemair, using brand names Fantech and Systemair, produces a variety of energy-efficient products including energy recovery ventilators, inline fans, air distribution products and accessories. Ola previously served as HVI's Chairman of the Board from October 2005 to October 2007 and again from October 2017 to October 2019. He received special recognition from the HVI membership in 2007 for his service and leadership during challenging times. He currently serves as Chair of the HVI HERV US Market Development Committee.
Mr. Loic Ares – Member-At-Large
Mr. Ares is the Technical Advisor for Indoor Air Quality for Venmar Ventilation ULC in Drummondville, QC. Loic has worked in research and development, engineering, laboratory services and product safety certification roles for Venmar since 2006. Venmar Ventilation ULC primarily manufactures residential HRV/ERV and rangehoods for both professional and retail market. He sits on many HVI committees/task groups and is interested in contributing to the growth and development of the organization.
Mr. Kirk Bolton – Member-At-Large
Mr. Bolton has been an engineer in the ventilation industry with Ventamatic, Ltd. for ten years focusing on product testing, product certification, manufacturing support and regulatory compliance. He has been participating in HVI in various roles since 2011 and is currently serving as chair of the Engineering Committee. He is interested in growing in his capacity for managing well and his understanding of the financial aspects of an organization.
Mr. Peter Grinbergs – Member-at-Large
Mr. Grinbergs Senior Manager of Quality Control and Manufacturing Processes at Airia Brands, Inc. in London, Ontario. Airia Brands primarily manufactures HRV/ERV products in addition to air handlers, inline fans and air filtration equipment. He serves as Vice Chair of the HVI Lab Oversight Committee as well as the HERV Committee.
Mr. Matt Matheny – Member-At-Large
Mr. Matheny is the Residential Product Manager for S&P USA Ventilation Systems. Matt has worked in engineering and product management roles for S&P USA and served as the HVI Primary Representative since 2015. He sits on many HVI committees/task groups and believes strongly in the importance of HVI as a vehicle for the advancement of residential ventilation practices. S&P USA is a manufacturer of residential and commercial ventilation products and accessories including bathroom exhaust fans, inline duct fans, and H/ERVs. In his free time, Matt enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee and looking for fossilized shark teeth at the beach with his wife, Mackenzie.
Mr. Bhavesh Shah – Member-At-Large
Mr. Shah has been designing fans & ventilation systems since 1994. Currently, he is working as a Product & Engineering Manager for Reversomatic Manufacturing Ltd., Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada. Reversomatic was established in 1965 and began residential, commercial and industrial exhaust fans in 1972. At present, Reversomatic manufactures HRVs, ERVs, bathroom & kitchen exhaust fans, In-line & axial fans, fans with fire damper, louvers, accessories etc. in their various plants located around Greater Toronto area.
Mr. John Fox – Ex-officio Director
Mr. Fox has served the residential and commercial ventilation industry for almost 35 years. Mr. Fox served as HVI's Chairman of the Board from October 2012 to October 2013. He received the HVI Distinguished Service Award in 2019. He currently serves as the Chair of the HVI Lab Oversight Committee, and Chair of the Risk Assessment Committee. John has served as President of HVI's sister association, the Healthy Air Research and Certification Authority (HARCA), since its inception in November 2015.
